Jessie French
Jessie’s moody landscapes demand you imagine. They whisper a sentence you only half hear and leave you thinking about the rest of the story. Highly dramatic and delicately lit, Jessie’s photographs allude to other worlds and produce feelings of privacy between viewer and work. At the tender age of 20, French has already shown work in a National Gallery exhibition, and has worked in Australia and abroad as a photographer. Her personal work continues to mature, becoming more theatrical and disarming.
